Men pappa jobbar för LHC och det är hon stolt över. Matchdags. Färjestad–LHC. The ALICE Experiment (see figure) at LHC at CERN is designed to study collisions between Heavy nuclei at extremely high energy, a new state of matter named Quark Gluon Plasma is created where protons and neutrons do not exist but their constituents, quarks and gluons form a large volume system like in the first millionth of a second of the Big Bang. ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is a general-purpose, heavy-ion detector at the CERN LHC which focuses on QCD, the strong-interaction sector of the Standard Model. It is designed to address the physics of strongly interacting matter and the quark-gluon plasma at extreme values of energy density and temperature in nucleus-nucleus collisions.

2021-02-05 · ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is the dedicated Heavy Ion experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Switzerland. Just like most other CERN based experiments, its goal is to better understand the fundamental particles and forces of the universe.

It is designed to study the physics of strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities, where a phase of matter called quark-gluon plasma forms. All ordinary matter in today’s universe is made up of atoms. ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is one of eight detector experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The other seven are: ATLAS, CMS, TOTEM, LHCb, LHCf, MoEDAL and FASER.

Determination of the event collision time with the ALICE detector at
During the LHC Run 1 (2009-2013), ALICE participated in all data-taking campaigns, recording proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 0.9, 2.76, 7 and 8 TeV, proton-lead collisions at 5 TeV and lead-lead collisions at 2.76 TeV. CERN’s ALICE-LHC group are UNAM undergraduate and graduate students, BUAP researchers and a thousand and five hundred researchers from around the world. The ALICE project built the first detector called V0 that has served to recreate the conditions after the Big-Bang.
